Defender Stevie Kinniburgh has left Oxford United after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The 22-year-old left-back joined United on loan from Rangers in 2009, making 12 starts as the club won promotion from the Blue Square Premier back to the Football League before returning to Glasgow. He joined the U's on a permanent basis at the start of last season and made a further 15 starts.
Kinniburgh had a loan spell at Cambridge United earlier this season but found first team opportunities limited when he returned to Oxford, with Liam Davis and Anthony Tonkin head of him in the pecking order. United also signed Tony Capaldi over the summer, although the full back's season has so far been curtailed by injury. The last of his three appearances this season away at Sheffield United in the FA Cup.
Kinniburgh said: "It is just one of those things. Oxford are a great club and I have really enjoyed my stay but I want to play games and it is time to move on. The fans have been great as well and I wish them and the club every success."
