Burton Albion v Oxford United preview

ox-united-558x323Oxford United could make it five games unbeaten away from home if they get a positive result at Burton Albion in their League Two fixture on Sunday.

The U's occupy the final play-off spot, two places and one point above their opponents, after last Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Hereford United.  Manager Chris Wilder has been forced into one change, with right back Damian Batt suspended for two games after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season.

Andy Whing is expected to deputise for Batt at full back, with one of either Paul McLaren or Asa Hall coming into central midfield.  Australian under-20 striker Matthew Fletcher could feature in the matchday squad for the first time, while new signing Oli Johnson is likely to start on the bench.

Speaking ahead of the game, Chris Wilder said:"We've had tough and tight games with Burton in the past and I'm expecting the same on Sunday."

The U's drew 2-2 with Burton Albion in September, but the Brewers are on a poor run with no wins in five games.  Albion are likely to give a debut to 19-year-old midfielder Lee Lucas, who joined yesterday on loan from Swansea City until  the end of the season.  The Welsh Under-21 International has made one appearance for the Swansea first team, featuring in a 4-0 win over Sheffield United in May 2011.

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido said: 'He's a lad we've watched a few times and he's been in and around Swansea's first team, he trains with the first team. He's got good energy and he's an excellent footballer.

"Oxford have a lot of pace in their team. Their full backs bomb on for fun, they have quality in the middle of the park and up front they are a constant threat. It will a be a very difficult game but I am confident we can beat them."
