Oxon cricketers to sport Kirtley kit

Oxfordshire Cricket Board has signed a deal with a sportswear company run by Sussex cricketer James Kirtley to wear MKK kit for the next four years.

Former England bowler Kirtley, who took 28 wickets in 4 tests and 11 one-day internationals between 2011 and 2004, runs MKK, which will supply kit to all the teams run by the board, including junior and women’s sides.

Tudor turns down Oxfordshire move

Ex-England fast bowler Alex Tudor has turned down the opportunity to sign on for Oxfordshire.

Tudor, 32, was released by Surrey at the end of last season but has turned down a player-coach job with the Minor Counties side because he didn’t want to travel.  Tudor told the BBC he planned to play club cricket in Nottingham and didn’t wan to make trips to the West Country with Oxfordshire.

Ex-Surrey hero poised for Oxfordshire move

Former England fast bowler Alex Tudor could be on the verge of joining Oxfordshire.

The 32-year-old is a free agent after being released by Surrey in October and is set to meet the chairman and selectors in a bid to finalise a deal.

Tudor won three county championships with Surrey, taking 220 first-class wickets at an average of 28.41 for the side in two spells.

During an injury-plagued career, he played 10 tests for England between 1998 and 2002.
