A team of former beauty queens, including the current Miss Oxford, Kirsty Beer, will be descending on The Living Room in Oxford on Friday for a special Miss Oxfordshire scouting night, in a bid to find the next girl to represent Oxfordshire in Miss England.
Former Miss England 2008, Laura Coleman, will also be at the nightspot to scour the bar for potential contestants for the competition.
Kirsty Beer said: “Being in Miss England can change your life. Not only did I meet some amazing people and make some friends for life, the whole experience has opened me up to a vast number of exciting opportunities as well as helping to increase my self-confidence. I really would urge anyone thinking of entering to comedown to The Living Room and apply.”
The Living Room is the official venue for Miss Oxfordshire 2012, and will host the final of the competition on March 13. Entrants will have to take part in an interview, sportswear round, daywear and evening wear round. They will also have to pay £300 to cover entry costs and a day's pageant training at the Front Academy, where they will be taught everything from catwalk and choreography to styling, make-up and diet and fitness.
