West Oxfordshire Week (WOW) returns from September 13 to 19 with local attractions throwing open their doors for free or discounted entry to district residents.
WOW vouchers have been posted out to every household in West Oxfordshire so people can try out something new or return to a trusted favourite. Opportunities include a free wilderness taster day at Cornbury Park, two-for-the-price-of-one themed tours at Blenheim Palace and the gardens of Rousham House, and discounted entry to Heythrop Zoological Gardens.
Cllr Richard Langridge, Cabinet Member for Local Economy and Communities, said: “Tourism is a major industry in West Oxfordshire bringing £232 million pounds into the local economy each year. There is a lot to see on our doorsteps and the WOW week with its discount offers is an excellent opportunity to do this. This year there are many new offers and I’d like to thank the tourism industry for their support.”
