A public consultation on plans for an eco-town in northwest Bicester is underway.
Plans for the initial phase of the development have gone on display to the public for the first time, and will be available until September 17. The proposed NW Bicester project, which could provide 5,000 low-energy, zero-carbon homes over the next 20 years, is being led by developer P3Eco.
People can see the plans at public drop-in events between September 7 and 11. Residents can also give feedback on the plans by visiting www.nwbicester.co.uk
“Our team is totally committed to public consultation, it plays such an important role in this eco development. We have tried to incorporate the views and ideas submitted during June’s Open Planning Week and hope that during this next phase of consultation we can learn even more from the local community,” said Ian Inshaw, Chairman of P3Eco, Bicester. A planning application for the site would be submitted to Cherwell District Council later in the year, the company confirmed.
