Three men burgled a house in Marlborough Street, Faringdon, this morning (Monday, February 8).
The burglars forced their way into the house at 12.16am and threatened the resident, a 27-year-old man, with a metal bar and a wooden bar.
Det Insp Kev Elkins, investigating the incident, said: “Although the men didn’t steal anything, this is a particularly distressing incident and the victim has been left shocked.
“I urge anyone who may have seen these men, or any suspicious activity in the area at the time, to contact me.”
