Oxford United star helps relaunch Cowley store

alfie-potterOxford United star Alfie Potter was on hand to help the Wilkinson store, in the Templars Square Shopping Centre, Cowley celebrate its re-launch on Thursday.

The 22-year-old footballer was joined by store manager Paul Merrett and head of retail Robin Lassiter, who presented Potter with a donation to Oxford United FC's Youth and Community Trust.

The charity provides children, parents, young people, local authorities and schools in the Oxfordshire area with quality coaching from local professionals.

Paul Merrett said: "The transformation of the store is even better than I had imagined and it is down to the hard work and dedication of the whole team that everything was completed on time, and to such a high standard. It was great to be joined by the guys from Oxford United FC, who proved very popular with the staff and they really helped us celebrate a successful re-opening."

There will be free cupcakes for the first 100 customers through the door on Saturday, November 19, and a free face painter will be working their magic on children at the store from 10am to 4pm.
