Venturefest Oxford 2010 is kicking off its annual programme with a search to discover the best new technologies emerging from the UK this year.

Brookes to host Business Breakfast events

Oxfordshire companies can get their teeth into the knowledge available Oxford Brookes University at a series of Business Breakfasts launched last month.

The university’s Business School is running the breakfasts, which are open to any organisation who wants to see how engaging with the university’s expertise and students can significantly benefit their organisation.

West Oxfordshire attracts more visitors despite credit crunch

West Oxfordshire tourist attractions are defying the recession with an increase in the number of visitors, a study has shown.

The Economic Impact of Tourism Study by Tourism South East have shown that with a spending increase of 3.3 per cent to £232 million in 2008 there has been an increase in visitor numbers to 3.8 million.

The West Oxfordshire tourism sector, which include Blenheim Palace and Cotswold Wildlife Park, is responsible for up to 4,000 jobs.
