Advert Types
There is a variety of Advert Types for you to choose from when advertising on oxfordjournal.co.uk. Click on the tabs below to browse the available options and view the specifications for each Advert Type.
Advert Rotation
There can be up to four 'Live' ads per ad slot at any time. These ads are rotated, so every time you go to a new page, or the page is refreshed, the ads rotate and swap positions so each ad gets equal screen time. It also means over the duration of your campaign, your advert should be seen by a higher number of unique visitors.
When you buy an ad by 'time on the site' (CPD), your advert will be classed as 'Exclusive' and will not rotate.
Advert Creatives
An Advert Creative is the actual artwork for your advert. There are two types of Creatives; Static (JPG) or Animated (Flash or GIF). Inlcuded in the price of your advert is the creation of a static Creative for your advert.
If you want an animated advert you can either supply your own we can create an animated GIF with up to 5 frames for just £20+vat (example coming soon). Call 01235 547837 for details or technical specifications.

How much traffic does oxfordjournal.co.uk get?









The new oxfordjournal.co.uk website went live on 1st February 2010, and since then it's traffic has been steadily rising week on week.
We put a lot of effort into making sure oxfordjournal.co.uk is discovered by more and more people. The ways in which we do this include: optimising the site for search engines; sending out weekly newsletters to registered members of the site; utilising social networking services such as Twitter to feed followers news updates; promoting the site and it's various features in our newspapers. All of these things mean your advert is going to be in prime position in front of an ever-growing audience of Journal readers.

In May we made some significant changes to the site, making it quicker and easier for visitors to register and log onto the site.

Can I track my advert's performance?

Yes you can!
We use Google DFP (formerly Google AdManager) to serve the adverts on our website and track their performance. Using this tool we can give you a login to view the live performance statistics (impressions and clicks) of your advert.

Can I have an animated advert?
Yes you can! All our ad slots can hold static and animated graphics.
Included in the price of your online advert is the creation of one static graphic. If you wish to have an animated advert you can supply your own Flash or GIF files. Call 01235 547837 for details.
What if I don't have a website?
If you don't already have a website then for a one-off setup fee of just £50+vat we can set you up a 'Business Profile Page' on oxfordjournal.co.uk which you can link through to from your advert. This Profile Page can contain all your contact information, your company logo, and a section for you to include a description of your company, your services or your products (including pictures if you want). At the bottom of the Profile Page is a contact form, where visitors can send a message to you, that gets sent directly to your email inbox.
